Searching for new physics

I search for physics beyond the Standard Model using the Large Hadron Collider and the ATLAS detector at CERN. My interests include searches for supersymmetric particles and leptoquarks, as well as new physics involving top quarks. I also study methods for detecting long-lived, heavy charged particles, focusing on signatures that conventional measurements may miss.

Detector and Trigger

We operate and improve the ATLAS Thin-Gap Chamber (TGC) muon detectors and develop triggers that select important events from vast amounts of collision data in real time. Our trigger research covers muons as well as other particles and event signatures, supporting searches for new physics through both hardware and software.

Computing for particle physics

Heterogeneous computing combines processors with different capabilities. We study its application to particle physics data processing to help make experiments more sustainable.
